Irony Moves Fast on the Internet
A few weeks ago, a major cloud outage drew some public commentary from Elon Musk.
One month later, and headlines read: “Outage Disrupts X, ChatGPT and Other Parts of the Internet.”
According to the article the root cause was Cloudflare, and it is a solid reminder that much of the modern internet runs on interconnected infrastructure. When something breaks like this, the impact can spread quickly and well as unpredictably.
It is interesting to look at the timing. The takeaway is not that any particular platform failed more than others. Rather that the internet has a way of humbling everyone eventually.
