Excited to Be at Cognigy

February 22, 2022 Conversational AI Sales Engineers Startups No Comments

My Sales Engineering career began in the start of 2011.  What’s more, the firms I’ve worked for during the past decade-plus spoiled me.  Dynatrace’s solutions and Fastly’s delivery network are magical.  They were as close as I’ve seen technology be to Arthur C. Clarke’s 3rd Law that “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”  And of course PagerDuty’s solution is bullet proof, a necessity if you have any dependencies on digital technology.  Although they might wake you up – it is only if there is a valid reason*.

Some Key Business Value

I’m only two days into my journey with Cognigy, but I want to share some of the reasons that I am so excited to be here:

  • AI-powered Virtual Agents are clearly demonstrating their ability to handle calls and chats with both Customers and Employees.  Cognigy’s customers have deployed thousands of virtual agents in 120 different languages.  The increased Customer/Employee Satisfaction and Cost Savings are clear.
  • Cognigy has a free trial anyone can sign up for.  I was building virtual agents in no time, and found the UI to be easy to use and well thought out.  The information panels where clear and helpful.   important, low-Code, boarding on No-Code.  This brought back memories of how helpful the free trial is at Fastly.  I learned quickly at Fastly how much product awareness this creates.  Not to mention letting firms experience the solution’s quality firsthand.
  • Cognigy’s Docs, Academy, Library, and Support Portal are well designed and very helpful.  I was able to complete several free courses at my own pace.
  • Although announced after I had signed on, they placed as a leader in Gartner’s 2022 Magic Quadrant™ for Enterprise Conversational AI Platforms. This also brought back memories of the excitement I had when selling Dynatrace’s APM solutions.
  • The people I interviewed with were all people I want to work with and learn from.  My skills and interests provide solid value.  I can make a difference.

In Conclusion

If you want to easily build multi-language, multi-brand and/or multi-region Conversational AI Agents without having to hire expensive developer resources or pay for white-glove/concierge services, check out Cognigy!  And if you are looking for a new role, this place is amazing – check out their open careers!  Day 2 and I’d already seen all 4 T’s covered on that page. Team, Trust, Technology and Transparency.  Furthermore, the values are more than just words on the wall or a slide shown during onboarding. Refreshing and exhilarating.

Needing to pinch myself, this is unreal!

* If PagerDuty did wake you up for no reason – talk to your admin.  The configuration clearly isn’t corect.  They are all about getting actionable information to the right people.  They never let me down.
